A few weeks ago I ordered a potty training DVD for Reagan and started letting her watch it in preparation for potty training. It has been long over due to potty train her but right when she turned two I was dealing with a newborn Brody and we are always on the go so much that there never seemed to be a week to just "stay home" and potty train. Well I finally decided that its time... so we are in full swing at the Wooten household with potty taining. We are having potty parties about every hour and I am happy to say that Reagan is doing GREAT with it all!! I will keep everyone posted how its going. But I have to go sit Reagan on the potty...its time again =)

Warm Weather = New Clothes
This spark of warmer weather over the last few weeks has made me realize two things.
1. My children have no warm weather clothes.
2. I have no warm weather clothes.
So off I went shopping(for my kids) I hate shopping for myself and while I was shopping it made me realize three things
1. Shopping for Reagan is so much more fun.
2. Shopping for Brody is so much easier.
3. I would much rather shop for my kids than myself.
Let me elaborate. For Reagan there are endless options of clothes in all colors, shapes and styles. There are flowers and polka dots and shorts and skirts and sun dresses and all kinds of stuff. Then there are shoes to go with everything, hairbows that have to be matched etc. etc. Maybe because she was my first child so I am use to shopping for girls clothes but I gravitate to the girls section everytime I shop... I could be going to buy something for Brody and end up buying Reagan 5 things and nothing for Brody thus making shopping for Reagan so much more fun.
When I shop for Brody however, there is not nearly the selection to start off with but then you are left with airplanes and dumptrucks, frogs and dogs, or dinasours. Not to mention that there arent nearly as many colors boys can wear. Red, blue, green, brown... and forget about shoes. He has one pair that pretty much goes with everything. Plus little boys pretty much wear khaki or denim shorts with everything so you buy 10 shirts, 2 pairs of khakis, 2 pairs of jean shorts and he is set for the summer thus making shopping for him much easier.
What is the point of this post... nothing really just an observation from a mother of both a boy and a girl. It really is so nice to have one of each.
Now if only I could get excited about shopping for myself...

Brody @ 9months
These are past due as Brody will be 10 months old in a week but I though i would share...
22lbs 11oz - 76th percentile
29.5 inshes tall - 81st percentile
He seems bigger to me and obviously everyone that sees him because everyone is always telling me he is big for his age. Here he is with a mohawk after bath time one night...oh and excuse the scratches by his eye...I was a neglegent mother and didnt cut his nails for a while and that is the result.
On a suckier note: Brody is going to have to have surgery again in a few weeks, this time to unclog his tear ducts...poor guy, will he ever get a break?
