Animal Kingdom

Animal Kingdom was the first park we went to when we got to Orlando. We couldnt go to Magic Kingdom because our reservations for breakfast with the princesses werent until Monday and my mom was going to be coming into town to go with us so since we were literally staying 3 minutes from the park we decided to give it a try. We went into it with low expectations... thinking there was a chance we could be there for 2 hours and our kids could melt down and we would have to leave. They did AWESOME!!!!

Before we left for this vacation I broke down and purchased a double jogging stroller. Let me just tell you, it was worth the money. Brody especially was so happy just riding around in it. The seats individually reclined so one could nap while the other was sitting up. It was perfect for riding around the park in (by the end of the day I was wishing someone would push me around in that stroller.

We were in the right place at the right time... they were just changing the signs from closed to open as we were walking by this particular part of the park where they were opening up charater meetings... we were 3rd in line and got to meet Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Donald Duck and it only took about 15 minutes to do them all.
The look on Reagan face when she saw Mickey was priceless. Brody wanted to grab his nose the whole time.

The bears from Brother Bear (again we walked up at just the right time for this... they had just come out and there wasnt much of a crowd)
Chip or Dale ( I dont know which one)

We ate at The Rainforest Cafe for lunch... it is attached to the park and such a fun place to eat. REagan was a little apprehensive at first as to whether or not the animals were real but half way through lunch she looked at me and said "They are just pretend mommy."
Triceratop ride in Dinosaur World
Brody playing the drums while we were waiting for the parade. Reagan had totally zonked out at this point and missed the whole parade.

It was a great day. The kids did great and loved all of it. Reagan didnt even do so bad with the waiting. I am so glad we decided to take a chance and go to Animal Kingdom that day because it was totally worth it!!!
